Baccarat Rules

With nothing to do every round besides making a bet on a tie, the bankers or players hand, baccarat is easy to play. The dealer controls the cards, and there are no choices to be made after the bet.

Players may wager on a tie, on the bankers hand to win or the players hand, the winning hand is the one closest to a total of 9 as possible.
There is no “busting” in Baccarat. That is because ten is removed from the hand total should it go over ten. As an illustration, a 5 and 7 totals thirteen, which would be a baccarat hand total of 3 when 10 is taken from the total.

The player firstly decides where to wager, then after bets are completed everyone is given out two cards to start.

When the player or dealers hand total is an 8 or 9, they’ve got a “Natural” and no one receives any more cards. If both the banker and player receive a Natural, then it is a tie.

If there is no Natural dealt with the two initial cards, the subsequent game rules control what will happen:

The player goes initially:

Players Hand: Players Required Action:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Draw a third card
6, 7 Stay

Once the players cards have been dealt, the bankers actions are based off the players hand.

Bankers Hand:
0, 1, 2 Irrelevant Draws a card
3 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Draw a card
8 Stay
9 No further cards
4 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 Draw a card
0, 1, 8 or 9 Stay
5 5, 6 or 7 Draw a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 8 or 9 Stay
4 Draw a card
6 6 or 7 Draws a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 9 No further cards
7 Anything No further cards

Once the cards are all dealt, a comparison among the two hands is made and the hand valued closer to 9 wins.
